Students of NPS West School celebrated ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ with great pomp and festivity on September 19, 2023. Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and Parvati. The festival is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi.

The festival was heralded with traditional lamp lighting, followed by a prayer to invoke the blessings of Lord Ganesha. The cultural program started with a prayer song, followed by a skit that depicted the importance of celebrating eco-friendly festivals. The students further expounded on the significance of the festival. A captivating dance performance to the song ‘Mahaganapathim’ left the audience spellbound.

The program ended with chants of ‘Ganapathi Bappa Moriya-Agle Baras tu Jaldi Aa, which echoed all around the campus in a festival manner.
